In the News: Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Prostate Cancer Risk

Share:

Omega-3 fatty acids are a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids that are important for a number of functions in the body. They are found in foods such as fatty fish and vegetable oils and are also available as dietary supplements. A recent study showed an increased risk of prostate cancer among men with high blood concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids. The study, an analysis of data from the SELECT Study, was funded by NCCAM and the National Cancer Institute.
