Cranberry is an evergreen shrub; its berries are used in beverages, food, and dietary supplements. Whether cranberry helps to prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs), one of its common uses, is unclear, but it may help with UTIs in certain groups, including children. Children with symptoms of a UTI should see a health care provider for diagnosis and treatment.
