Josephine P. Briggs, M.D.

Director Emeritus

National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) is developing our next strategic plan that will guide the Center’s future research efforts and priority setting. As part of this process, we would like to hear from our community, including you.

We have issued a Request for Information (RFI) to help identify and consider research areas and topics to be included in the new plan. We will review and consider the comments that we receive to identify current and future needs and directions for complementary and integrative health research and research training.

I hope you will take a few minutes to share your perspectives as they relate to:

  • Emerging research needs and opportunities that should be considered as the Center’s 2016 plan is developed.
  • Research needs and opportunities articulated in the Center’s current strategic plan that should be modified because of progress over the past 5 years. Challenges or barriers to progress in research on complementary and integrative health approaches and their roles in improving health and health care.
  • Gaps and opportunities across the research continuum from basic through clinical studies. The Center is particularly interested in feedback on clinical research needs and opportunities.

You may email your suggestion directly to NCCIH_StrategicPlan2016@mail.nih.gov or enter the information online.

Thank you, as always, for your work and support of our research mission.
