Marta Ceko, Ph.D., is a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Pain and Integrative Neuroscience Branch. Marta uses sensory testing combined with functional neuroimaging to conduct research on cognitive modulation of pain in healthy volunteers and chronic pain patients. She is also investigating the effects of chronic pain on brain mechanisms supporting cognitive function.

Marta completed her M.Sc. in Medical Neurosciences at the Charite, Berlin, Germany, and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
