Speaker Biosketch for Manipulative and Body-Based Therapies: Chiropractic and Spinal Manipulation

President of the Palmer College of Chiropractic

Dr. Meeker holds the degrees of doctor of chiropractic and master's in public health. Since 1995, he has served as Director of the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research, based at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. The Palmer Center is headquarters of the NIH-funded Consortial Center for Chiropractic Research, which consists of 6 chiropractic institutions and 5 state-supported universities.

Dr. Meeker is principal investigator on this center grant. Previously, he was dean of research at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, California. Dr. Meeker has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Spine and the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics. He is a member of NCCAM's National Advisory Council for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
