Congressional Justification FY 2025

As part of the annual budget process, National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) prepares a Congressional Justification (CJ) as a component of the larger NIH CJ, consistent with guidance from the Office of Management and Budget. NCCIH’s CJ provides the Senate and House Appropriations Committees with detailed budget estimates, an overview of NCCIH accomplishments, highlights of select scientific research programs, and justification for research and research support activities that NCCIH would anticipate funding at the level of the President’s Budget Request. NCCIH receives its budget through the annual appropriations for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and NIH. Appropriations are authorized by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by the President.
