Dr. Eric Garland Will Present Keynote Talk at NIH Emotional Well-Being Investigator Meeting

Eric Garland, Ph.D., L.C.S.W., will present the keynote talk “Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement Builds Emotional Well-Being by Restructuring Reward, Meaning, and Self” at the 2024 Annual Emotional Well-Being (EWB) Investigator Meeting, which will take place on March 18, 2024

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) welcomes researchers and the public to attend the livestreamed open session of the meeting, beginning at 10 a.m. ET, to learn about six research networks and their efforts to advance the science of EWB. Dr. Garland’s keynote presentation takes place from 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m. ET.

Dr. Eric Garland on Emotional Well-Being Research

 

Dr. Garland is distinguished endowed chair in research; associate dean for research and professor in the University of Utah College of Social Work; director of the Center on Mindfulness and Integrative Health Intervention Development (C-MIIND), and associate director of integrative medicine in supportive oncology and survivorship at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr. Garland is the developer of an innovative, multimodal mindfulness-based intervention founded on insights derived from cognitive, affective, and neurobiological science, called Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE).
